We are inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the post of:
Youth Alcohol and other Drug service Development Worker.
Cavan/Monaghan.
Salary €31,000 p/a.
Base: Cootehill Co.Cavan.
Contract Duration: 18 months Initially
About the Service:
MaCYSS is a community-based service for under 18’s and their families. The service has been developed by Alcohol Forum Ireland in partnership with the HSE Social Inclusion Unit CHO1, and the NERDATF. The service provides prevention, treatment and support to under 18’s who are experiencing difficulties in relation to their own alcohol and/or drug use or are affected by alcohol and/ or drug use within their families. In addition the service supports the delivery of a range of education and prevention programmes in line with best practice to the community and voluntary sector. The service is supported by the Social Inclusion Unit of the HSE in Cavan/Monaghan.
The Post holder will engage with stakeholders responding to alcohol and other drug concerns in Cavan and Monaghan with a specific focus on education, prevention and treatment, to determine the most appropriate and sustainable models for the development and delivery of a young persons substance support service aligned with Reducing Harm Supporting Recovery “A health led response to drug and alcohol use in Ireland” (2017-2025).
